Born in Manchester, now based in Aberdeen, Ean has travelled throughout Europe performing his own songs, and songs he wished he’d written…
An experienced vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player, he has supported many chart acts and played keyboards as musical director for Cliff Bennett as a ‘Rebel Rouser’ (“Got To Get You Into My Life” written for him by Lennon/McCartney), and has MD’d for legendary Shadows guitarist Jet Harris and Karl Denver (of Happy Mondays fame) to name a few.
Ean’s styles cover various genres including rock, pop, jazz, soul and emotive ballads, demonstrated on his debut album ‘In A Perfect World’.
On nights designed for singer-songwriters, he performs songs from his debut album ‘In A Perfect World’, some of his new material since the album’s release, and carefully selected material from other talented songwriters.
At venues with a more generic audience he performs a variety of quality songs from artists including the Beatles, Kinks and David Bowie, through to tracks by the best of this century such as Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay, David Gray, Travis, Kaiser Chiefs, Green Day, Oasis and Blur. In between these he slots in the occasional self-penned song from his debut album.
Ean will be performing live from January 2006 both solo and with guest musicians.
